Anita Maes - Director and Designer, Bella Cassita Ltd, Parnell
Central Joinery’s ‘can-do’ attitude and extraordinary ability to find solutions to meet customer requirements has prompted independent Auckland kitchen and bathroom designer Anita Maes to refer Central Joinery to numerous contacts.
“The company has this attitude that nothing is a problem: if it’s possible, they will find a way,” says Anita, director and designer of Bella Cassita Ltd. “In four years they have never failed to find a solution to a challenge. The team has a deep understanding of what will work – and they know the right product to select for each type of job.”
Anita has particular praise for the company’s policy of appointing a project manager to every job. ”This is unique in this industry. A single point of contact means a strong relationship is established with my clients, which helps the job run smoothly.”
Having complete confidence in a supplier for her clients is critical to Anita’s work and her reputation in the industry – and has been a key factor in recommending the Central Joinery team to others.
“Without exception, they are professional, friendly, polite and reliable. I know my clients are getting a good product and a good deal – and that means no headaches for me!”

Eva Juhasz and Mel Easton, Auckland
Eva Juhasz and Mel Easton had firm ideas of what they wanted for their new kitchen at their Auckland home and were delighted to have the workability of their ideas confirmed by Central Joinery’s professional designer.
“It was very reassuring to know our ideas would work,” says Eva, “and that the designer listened to what we wanted rather than imposed her ideas.”
The designer was able to enhance Eva and Mel’s thoughts with design details and innovations which have been a great success – in particular, suggesting a dispenser at the sink which gives instant boiling water, and using drawers instead of cupboards for storage.
Eva has high praise for the installers: “They did a fantastic job. In just three days they took the old kitchen out and put the new kitchen in – and were very considerate of not being too disruptive to family life.” The installation was done around the existing large Corian worktop which Eva wanted to keep in her new kitchen.
Eva and Mel are thrilled with the result. “The kitchen works really well and everyone from Central Joinery was very professional. It was a pleasure to deal with people who did what they said they would do, and turned up when they said they would.”

Faye Hayman - Kohimarama
When Faye Hayman and her partner renovated their penthouse on Kohimarama’s waterfront, they wanted quality and timeless design for their new kitchen, and laundry and bathroom vanities.
Central Joinery had impressed Faye with their work for her previously, so the company was the obvious choice for this project. “I knew the quality of their work – they are as fussy and fastidious as I am, and I knew they would give us exactly what we wanted.”
Faye and her partner were hugely impressed with the innovative, practical design advice they received from Central Joinery’s designer, and say the team’s reliability was outstanding. “Central Joinery always arrived on time, on the day they said they would: they never let us down.”
Also impressive was the respect shown for Faye’s property: shoes were always removed, thick mats were laid to protect floors, and items near to working areas were wrapped.
The result? “It’s beautiful – there’s not one thing I would change. At every stage of the process, there was hands-on control – they just seemed to go the extra mile, checking and re-checking measurements and keeping in touch all the way through,” says Faye.
Central Joinery’s designer provided innovative, practical ideas. For example, the laundry design makes full use of space while overcoming an access issue, and custom-made sliding doors, manufactured at Central Joinery’s plant, maximised accessible storage.
“The company was a pleasure to deal with and the value they provide for what they do is extraordinary.”
